The Club’s AGM, held at the South of England Showground at the end of February, was attended by more than 40 members. Officers elected were – President, Michael Carr; Chairman, Alan Smith; Vice-chairman, Richard Drake; Treasurer, Di Peters; Secretary, Charlotte Moody.

The Club AGM was held at the Old Dairy, Pitchfont Farm, by kind permission of Bill and Di Peters. President David Heaseman chaired the meeting and after business was concluded we were delighted to welcome our guest speaker, Mr Steven Cox from the Sevenacre herd.

South East Winter Meeting

The Clubs Winter meeting was well attended with thirty five members and friends who came to hear a talk from Matt Winter of the Corringham Herd . Matt gave an invigorating talk on the management and breeding of the herd , which was a top British Friesian herd in the 80’s to nowadays top Holstein herd and became runner up in the National Holstein herd competition in 2018 . Many great families have been developed including the Beth’s and Roxy’s with many sold at high prices in the Uk and Europe.

South East Club News February 2019

In the Chair at our AGM was President David Heasman, who gave a report of the clubs year to the audience of 35 members. The meeting was followed with a very informative talk by Tom Hill of the HydawaysHerd, who was President’s Medal winner in 2014.
