ABAB Calf Show 2024

It is with great pleasure that Holstein UK announce that they have been able to secure a 2024 date for the All Breeds All Britain Calf Show at the very popular venue of Bingley Hall in Staffordshire.

The event run by Holstein UK in conjunction with Staffordshire County Showground will take place from 20th – 22nd September the only available date in their very busy calendar.

Staffordshire County Showground will serve as a central base for the 2024 event, which will bring together seven dairy breeds and celebrate young breeders from across the UK. Holstein UK's Board of Trustees today agreed the new venue after carefully considering the location and general facilities for the show, which will provide a spacious footprint for the event.

Camping and caravan facilities are available onsite, alongside a wide selection of accommodation which is within easy reach of the showground. Three miles away from the showground is Stafford town centre, where there is plentiful accommodation, ranging from bed and breakfasts to four-star hotels.

Naomi Lewis, National HYB Coordinator, commented: ”The new venue will continue to provide a platform for young dairy breeders to showcase their showmanship skills and show their calves. It is wonderful that we have found a venue in such an accessible location for the majority of our exhibitors and we look forward to seeing you all this September. Our sincere thanks go out to all exhibitors for their patience during this transition period, and we hope everyone will be pleased with the new venue. Due to the fact that we are still in the planning stages of the event, some of the finer details are still being finalised. Further information will be provided as soon as possible”.

Richard Williams, Staffordshire County Showground Chief Executive, commented: “We are delighted to welcome the ABAB Calf Show to the Staffordshire County Showground. The Showground has a strong agricultural heritage and we are committed to welcoming the next generation into the agricultural industry. The ABAB Calf Show is therefore an excellent fit with the current National Young Farmers Competitions that we host and our recent livestock showing masterclasses for young exhibitors”.

We would like to thank all exhibitors for their patience during this transition period. Please note that we are still in the planning stages of the event therefore still finalising some of the finer details, further information will be made available in due course.
