Yorkshire Celebrates Centenary

The Yorkshire Club celebrated its centenary in 2019. A Gala Dinner was held to mark the occasion, held at The Bridge Hotel Walshford. The evening consisted a dinner, dancing and lots of memories. Bill Shepard, who has memories of the club going back further than most, entertained the assembled members, past and present, with his tales. At the end of Bill’s address, Peter Waring presented Bill with a club award. Other club awards presented were the Thornton Trophy for show points won by ML Farming (Crystalclear) Also the Robin Cowgill HYB Award, presented by Jenny Cowgill to Frances Griffiths.

 

Finally the club would like to applaud Ben Coates for his achievements in Cremona at The European Open Show and Frances Griffiths making it to the final three of President’s Medal.

 

We’d also like to congratulate our current vice chairman Gavin Clarke and his wife Rebecca on the birth of their third son Seth Rupert John.
