Lanarkshire Holstein Club Stockjudging Competition

BATHGATE JAC IN CONJUNCTION WITH LANARKSHIRE HOLSTEIN CLUB

Friday 28th July 2023, both clubs joined forces and held their annual summer stock judging at Kaemuir Farm, Finalists of the Gold Cup, which seen an impressive 214 people taking part, thank you to everyone who came along.

A big thank you must go to the Orr family for hosting and for all their hard work, Andrew Lawrie for judging the classes, Jenna Ballantyne & Heather Dyet for helping the club score and to all the sponsors listed below who donated some fantastic prizes

Open Gents

1st - Andrew McGregor (355 points)

2nd - James Russell (347 points)

3rd - David Walker (343 points)

 

Open Ladies

1st - Fiona Graham (332 points)

2nd - Kate Flemming (321 points)

3rd - Alison Graham (315 points)

 

Bathgate JAC Ladies

1st - Emma Ingles (328 points)

2nd - Emma Robertson (303 points)

3rd - Elizabeth Bennie (298 points)

 

Bathgate JAC Gents

1st - John Paton (331 points)

2nd - Ben Miller (317 points)

3rd - Stuart Walker (291 points)

 

Under 14’s

1st - Blair Lawrie (305 points)

2nd - Robert Wilson (295 points)

3rd - Straun Mitchell (292 points)

 

William Currie was the closest guess of the combined litres novelty with 54,300 litres, with the correct answer being 54,449.

And Ellie Moore winning ‘guessing the balloons in the tractor’ with a correct guess of 127.
