Lanarkshire Holstein Club Calf Show & Showmanship Competition

The Club held their annual Calf Show and Showmanship Competition on Sunday 29^th August within Lanark Agricultural Centre, all of which was under the watchful eye of young Will Horsley from the Woodcott Herd, where he had 10 strong contenders for the title of Showmanship and 18 calves looking to all take the Champion tickets home between the seven herds competing. Will was very thorough with the task put in front of him, giving feedback and reasons on every class as he went along – helping everyone along the way.

Showmanship Classes -

Class 1 – Junior (12 years of age and under on 1^st January 2021) – 7 forward

The club also presented the Tam Allan Perpetual Trophy to the Highest Placed Junior member and winning this for 2021 was Mark Bryson, Carnduff.
