Like all Clubs the last few months have been very busy for Staffordshire Young Breeders. From a very small club at the Beginning of the Summer to an excellent turnout of 19 Handlers at The Calf Show. Their success at the Stock judging and Field to Foto in August was outstanding for such a small team. A big well done the team of 5, Lizzie, Peter, Sophie, Dan and Joe, who travelled to Taunton.

Excellent stock judging results of Dan 3^rd in Linear, Lizzie and Pete 3^rd Linear team and Lizzie 6^th and Peter 7^th individually, Sophie 14^th and Joe 15^th.

Field to Foto saw more fantastic results, 2^nd in Photography, Lizzie 7^th in Handling, Peter 7^th in Clipping and team 5^th overall. A tremendous effort with all the commitment and hard work giving them the worthy results.

The Calf Show was held on 24^th September at the prestigious venue of Stafford County Showground and the Club Thanks them for their continued support in hosting and preparation of the venue. The Club welcomed Richard Armstrong to judge, 18 handlers, 41 calves, and 20 OAP Handlers, The OAP handlers raised £100 for the club, and first price to Lucy from Hydaways. Sponsorship has been received with thanks to everyone that has supported the day, with special Thanks to Grow Agri sponsoring the Calf Championships.

The Showmanship classes were competitive with the number of handlers and experience. Very encouraging for the next generation, looking at entries in the Junior class, keeping parents busy.

Preparation is underway for the Winter Herd Competition in January 2024 and an Christmas social booked for December.

Looking forward to 2024 with the Senior Club and such an enthusiastic HYB section, which is growing in numbers at every event under the guidance of Lorraine and Lizzie.
