Edition 3 - 2023 - Lancashire

It's been a busy season for everyone involved in the Lancashire Club. The annual Spring Tour saw a trip across to Norfolk. Herd visits included Messrs Proctor (Airfield), Mr A. Dann, Messrs Brigham (Easthough) and Messrs Winter (Corringham). Although the weather didn't quite play ball, those in attendance were impressed with the quality of the livestock, the farming systems involved and the hospitality of all hosts, who cannot be thanked enough! The group also visited the Sandringham Estate with a tour of the House and Gardens and a good time was had by all.

The younger members have also been active with the judging season kicking off. A stock judging training night was held by kind permission of the Booth family at Feizor. This was well attended and aimed to both introduce newer HYB members to the judging of a dairy cow and also fine tune and progress those with more experience. This was soon followed by the Judging nights kindly hosted by Messrs Monk and Messrs Hull of the Bannistree and Fortland Herds respectively.  The classes were of high quality throughout with Master Judge Michael Lawrence having the ominous task of being the man in the middle.

Young Breeders that qualified and will be representing Lancashire at The Weekend Rally are:
