Edition 1 - 2024 - Yorkshire

This year, our Annual Dinner and Presentation evening was held at The Bridge Inn, Walshford. Although numbers were slightly down on previous years, a good evening was had by all. We welcomed Holstein UK President, Andrew Jones, who gave an enjoyable speech and was a pleasure to listen to.

The Thornton Trophy (based on point accumulation over the year) was awarded to The Coates Family. The Robin Cowgill Award for outstanding contribution by a HYB member was presented to Ben Coates.

Our President, Jenny Cowgill, gave a vote of thanks to the club and we look forward to the events planned for 2024.

The ABAB Calf Show proved to be a great success for our HYB group. We had an enthusiastic team at Stoneleigh Park, meeting with other young handlers and showcasing their breed.

After an early start on the Sunday, it was definitely a successful day for Yorkshire. Congratulations to both the Lee family and the Coates family for their individually 1st placed calves.

Congratulations from the Yorkshire Club also go to Ellie Saxby for the Louise Hartley Award and Tilly Green for the Littlestar Award.

We end 2023 reflecting on the success of both the club and also our HYB club whose enthusiasm and determination has proved so successful during the past year.
