West of Scotland Club Annual Herds Competition
On Thursday 20th August, the West of Scotland Holstein Club held their annual Herds Competition, which was this year judged by Mr Jim Gray from Drumtoll, East Kilbride.
Scotland Prizegiving
Boreland of Colvend at Dalbeattie was named top Scottish herd at the recent club prizegiving. Brian and Michael Yates from East Logan, Castle Douglas, picked up seven accolades in the competition, judged by Kevin Wilson of Warnelview.
Lanarkshire Holsteins Club Stock Judging Competition Report
The club held their annual Stockjudging Competition on Thursday 13thJune, 2019 at Dykehead Farm, Lesmahagow, by kind permission of the Bryson family – who supplied us with 7 classes from the Carnduff herd. A great turnout of 190 were competing, all under the watchful eye of the judge, Mr William Fleming, Hillhead Farm, Kirkpatrick Fleming.
