The Champion, Reserve Champion and Honourable Mention, along with all finalists of the 2017 Premier Pedigree Herd have been announced today at UK Dairy Day.
Judge Brian Miller placed Illens Atwood Australia as his Senior Champion of the day. Icow Huddlesford Rosann 899 was placed in Reserve Champion spot, while Littlebridge Goldchip Honey came in Honourable Mention.
Today at UK Dairy Day, we have so far given out four awards, consisting of a Lifetime Achievement Award and three Master Breeder Awards.
Seven herds have been identified as the best within their region and are now recognised as finalists in Holstein UK’s 2017 Premier Herd Competition. Regional competitors were nominated by Holstein Breeders Clubs and, following judging, the regional winners are confirmed as follows:
Held at Borderway Auction Mart on Friday 1st September. The show starts at 6pm with the handling and calf classes following onto the milking classes, with Calf and Junior Championships concluding with the Supreme Championship.
