Holstein UK Trustee Nominations for 2018/22 are now open

At the Holstein UK AGM in June 2018, the Trustee positions for the Scotland and North Midlands regions are open for election and West Midlands is open for re-election or election. Members in the appropriate regions are invited to nominate Trustees for the period 2018/22 to represent their region on the Holstein UK Board of Trustees and must submit their nominations by 5pm, Friday 23rd March. Please see below for which areas are covered by each region.

John Cousar (Scotland) and Andrew Dutton (North Midlands) will be coming to the end of their terms, therefore if you have any nominations for Scotland or North Midlands, please send them on to the relevant Club Secretary or to the Holstein UK Company Secretary by 5pm, Friday 23rd March.

The Holstein UK Trustee position for West Midlands is up for election/re-election, please note David Jones is eligible to be re-elected should he wish to stand. To re-elect David Jones and/or suggest a new nomination, please contact the relevant Club Secretary or the Holstein UK Company Secretary by 5pm, Friday 23rd March.

Please note:

  1. Nominations for vacancies should be addressed for the attention of the Company Secretary and must be received at Holstein UK, Speir House, Stafford Park 1, Telford, Shropshire TF3 3BD, not later than 5pm on Friday 23rd March 2018.
  2. Nominations MUST consist of a Proposer and a Seconder, both of whom must be members of the Society.
  3. Nominations CANNOT be accepted from members who will be under the age of 18 years on the 8th June 2018.
  4. The candidate, together with the Proposer and Seconder MUST be resident in the Region for which they are nominated.
  5. A member may only propose or second ONE candidate for election.
  6. NO candidate should be a serving Director of National Milk Records PLC      
  7. The candidate MUST have been a member for not less than 36 consecutive months as at the nomination date.
  8. The candidate MUST NOT have not been disqualified by law (been convicted of an offence unless the conviction is spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974), is an undischarged bankrupt or has made arrangements with creditors, has been previously removed as a charity trustee by the Commission or the Courts, or is subject to disqualification under Company legislation)
  9. Candidates MUST be agreeable to having a background check to prove that they do not conflict with the rules set out. The background check will cover criminal convictions and financial status.
