North Wales Holstein Stock Judging 2019

The stock judging evenings once again providing members with an opportunity to gather and enjoy time away from everyday chores. The three evenings commenced on Lleyn Peninsula courtesy of Phil Coker and family at Mathan Uchaf with Oggie Smith as Master Judge. The venue having hosted one of the first stock judging events for Club back in 1966 the occasion sadly the last as Philip has decided to go out of Milk Production by end of the year.

The second evening at Pen Bryn Llan between Denbigh and Ruthin, courtesy of

Elfyn Jones and family, proved a very successful evening with a large turnout,

Ross Murray was the Master Judge. Whilst the final evening was held at Erw Fawr Llanfachraeth, courtesy of Ceredig Evans and family concluded the stock judging evenings with Meurig James head of Breed Development with Holstein UK as Master Judge.

The Club is indebted to all the hosts for preparing the cows and to the three Master Judges for their support, not forgetting Carole Jones and Peter Lewis who kept the scores on all three nights .The results are below and once again the standard proved very high with three members going forward to the National Judges Conference later in May.
