Midland Club News February 2019

Congratulations to the Midland Young Breeders ontheir brilliant success at The All Breeds All Britain Calf Show in October when they were awarded Reserve Best Presented Small Stand with the theme Jungle.

Young Breeders Poppy Griffin, Tehya Griffin, Morgan Griffin, Sarah Sutton and Andrew Sutton competed in the handler classes and calves from J Griffin and P B Sutton & Partners were well placed in the calf classes. Thanks to James Showell and Andrew Sutton for transporting and building the stand and HYB Co-ordinators Helen Sutton and Anna Griffin for their work on the design.

Members enjoyed a Christmas meal in early December at the Clarendon Arms, Kenilworth. Young Breeders (and older ones too!) ventured on to the racetrack at Ace Karting, Nuneaton in January 2019.

The Annual Dinner will be on Saturday 2nd March 2019 at Wishaw Country Sports near Sutton Coldfield, where the awards will be presented by Herd Competition Judge, Andrew Stafford.

We are looking at visiting Anglesey and Cheshire for three days and two nights – everyone welcome, please enquire for details.
