Yorkshire HYB Club Calf Show Results

The Yorkshire club were determined not to be completely scuppered by Covid-19 and held a virtual calf show in September, where HYB members showed their calves via video.

Yorkshire Winter Herds Competition

At the time of writing the club is like everyone else staying safe and staying at home. Tentative plans for our herd competition have been put in place that can be actioned if and when government guidelines allow. Likewise our Six from Thirty Social Evening. Nominations and matters arising from the AGM will take place at the same time. Yorkshire’s Annual celebration Dinner will be held on Friday 30th October at The Bridge Hotel, nr Wetherby, three course gala dinner followed by entertainment by Daniel Sings. Further details to follow.

Yorkshire Celebrates Centenary

The Yorkshire Club celebrated its centenary in 2019. A Gala Dinner was held to mark the occasion, held at The Bridge Hotel Walshford. The evening consisted a dinner, dancing and lots of memories. Bill Shepard, who has memories of the club going back further than most, entertained the assembled members, past and present, with his tales. At the end of Bill’s address, Peter Waring presented Bill with a club award. Other club awards presented were the Thornton Trophy for show points won by ML Farming (Crystalclear) Also the Robin Cowgill HYB Award, presented by Jenny Cowgill to Frances Griffiths.
