Autumn 2022 - Derbyshire

Derbyshire had an excellent day trip during the summer to Bidlea Dairy and the home of the Bidlea herd in Cheshire by kind permission of Ray Brown and family where we were able to look round his dairy, ice cream parlour and sample the many flavours of ice cream and trying our hand at stock judging whilst walking among his cows of which the winner was Mr Tony Critchlow.

We then moved on to our visit to Massey Feeds factory at Holmes Chapel, which is a family run firm,  we were welcomed with a lovely buffet lunch followed by a very interesting guide and talk around there factory.

Our hyb members had a very enjoyable weekend in Durham at the hyb rally in August taking part in the stock judging, Linear and field 2 photo competitions and having the opportunity to visit Metcalfe farms at Leyburn.
